There is no blanket answer
Public visibility does not by itself establish permission to record, retain or redistribute a Tango live. The answer depends on the content, the people involved, your intended use, applicable law and the platform's rules. This guide cannot determine the legality of a particular recording.
A plan subscription, a recording button or access to an archive does not grant rights to someone else's content. Obtain the permissions your use requires. If the position is unclear, consult a qualified adviser for the relevant jurisdiction before recording or sharing.
Read the platform rules
Tango's broadcasting guidelines prohibit recording broadcasts for purposes including blackmail, restreaming, sale or distribution on other websites. Consult the current guidelines and terms of use directly. That prohibition does not establish that every other use is allowed.
Check the proposed use
Before recording, identify whose video, audio and other material appears in the live. Ask what permission covers the intended capture, retention and audience. A creator's consent may not settle rights to music or other third-party material in the broadcast.
Treat personal viewing, sharing with a friend and public reposting as separate uses to check. We cannot characterize one as generally lawful or low risk across jurisdictions. Copyright exceptions and privacy obligations depend on the circumstances.
Handle the resulting file with care
Avoid capturing or sharing sensitive personal information without the necessary authority. Limit access to permitted files, review shared-device and backup settings, and retain only what you are entitled to keep. Giving credit does not itself replace permission.
Recfolder's role
Recfolder provides public-stream monitoring and Telegram delivery within plan limits. It does not certify that your use is lawful, grant rights over the captured content or bypass restricted broadcasts. For capture options, see how recording works.
Creators and authorized representatives can use the content-removal form. A removal request is separate from deciding whether a proposed future recording is permitted.
